The Commodore Grille

Commodore Grille is an intimate songwriter-focused listening room inside the Holiday Inn Nashville–Vanderbilt on West End, presenting nightly writers’ rounds and open mics. Opened as a songwriter venue in the early 1980s, it previously operated as Ivories Piano Lounge and, from 2001–2008, the Commodore Sports Bar & Grille; long-running showcases include Debi Champion’s Songwriter Nights. Dining capacity is listed at 114, and the room sits by Centennial Park and Vanderbilt University, away from Lower Broadway’s bustle.
