Centennial Park

Centennial Park is Nashville’s 132-acre flagship urban park on West End Avenue, home to the full-scale Nashville Parthenon, Lake Watauga, a bandshell, art center, and expansive event lawns that host community festivals and free concerts like Musicians Corner and the city’s long-running Big Band Dances. Originally the site of the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition, the grounds were preserved and opened as a public park in 1903, remaining a central gathering place just west of downtown. In 2026, a new ~6,465–6,500 sq ft Event Pavilion along Lake Watauga is slated to open to host dances, concerts, and other community events.
