George Forbis, Emmy Moyen, John Pennell, & Shannon Brown

George Forbis: George Forbis moved to Nashville in 1996 and was part of a group formed by former 4Runner member Billy Crittenden named Due South. George left the group in 1998 and pursued a solo artist and writing career writing at such publishing companies as Starstruck, EMI, and Acuff Rose. He has had the privilege of working with such artist as Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, Marty Stewart, Michael W Smith, Amy Grant, and many more. His songwriting stays true to traditional country music, blending smooth vocals and harmony. His songs “Sing Like George Strait”, “Blessings in Stone”, “Just a Little Cloud” and many others have enjoyed radio airplay across the south. He has and will continue to put to song the stories we all live and experience. He currently writes for a new publishing company he helped form called “3 Minutes Away” Publishing. Growing up between Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee with Patsy Cline and Miranda Lambert on one side of the speaker and U2 and The Killers on the other, Emmy brings a unique voice to the writing room and the stage. She signed a publishing deal with SMACKSongs in May. Emmy is a 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame Scholarship recipient, Belmont University’s Fall Writers Showcase winner, and has built a live resume that includes support for Avery Anna, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Caylee Hammack. Most recently, Emmy released her single, “Daughter,” following the song’s viral success across social platforms. With new music on the way and festival dates at Rock the South and Rock the Country this fall, Emmy is making waves through Nashville — and she’s just getting started. Connect with Emmy HERE John Pennell: John Pennell is a founding member of Alison Krauss & Union Station and a celebrated songwriter whose work has been recorded by Alison Krauss, Alan Jackson, Eva Cassidy, Sam Bush, The Infamous Stringdusters, Mo Pitney, and Kenny & Amanda Smith. Together with his wife, Julie, they are a seasoned Nashville-based acoustic duo whose original music draws from Bluegrass, Swing, Country, Blues, Rockabilly, and Folk. Their sound moves effortlessly from the driving energy of upright bass to tender, fingerpicked acoustic moments, all anchored by soulful vocals and a deep-rooted musical chemistry. Connect with John HERE Shannon Brown: Shannon Brown is a singer, songwriter, and performer from Spirit Lake, Iowa. After years on the road, she made her way to Nashville and signed with Arista Records, later recording for BNA and Warner Bros., where she released her debut album Corn Fed and co-wrote more than half the project. Her career has included recognition as an AOL Music Breaker artist, her own AOL series This Is Shannon Brown, and songs recorded by Kathy Mattea and others. In 2020, she released the holiday EP A Classic Christmas, followed in 2024 by the single “The Only Jesus They See.” Today, Shannon continues writing and performing while sharing life and creative pursuits with her husband, filmmaker Shaun Silva, and their two sons, Tanner and Triston.
