About
Sunday Songs:
What started as a Sunday jam session in Key West is making its way to Music City for the very first Sunday Songs, dreamed up by the Key West Event Specialists in partnership with BMI.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind evening as some of Nashville’s most gifted voices, including Rebecca Lynn Howard, Tommy Sims, and Chuck Cannon, come together to breathe new life into the traditional church hymns we all know and love. Hear these timeless songs in a way you’ve never experienced before — reimagined through the voices, stories, and musical talents of Nashville’s finest.
Sunday Songs is a faith-filled round unlike our regular songwriter rounds. There won’t be a focus on original songs or the traditional songwriter format. Instead, this special evening is centered around beloved hymns, powerful voices, and the shared experience of faith through music.
Come expecting beautiful music, meaningful moments, and a Sunday night celebration that will leave you inspired.
Sunday Songs — familiar hymns. New voices. A whole new experience.
Rebecca Lynn Howard:
Crossover country-pop singer, and two time Grammy Award Winner, Rebecca Lynn Howard hails from a small Appalachian town in eastern Kentucky and moved to Nashville in 1997, where she began a career as a singer-songwriter. Her compositions have been recorded by artists like Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, Runaway June, Julianne Hough, John Michael Montgomery, rock band New Medicine and Clay Aiken, to name a few. Her writing style varies from deep-rooted, front porch bluegrass and mountain music, to country, to pop, to heavy power punk rock, and most everything in between. Howard was a featured vocalist on Jim Brickman's "Simple Things" and enjoyed the #1 slot on the Adult Contemporary chart, but she is best known for her smash hit "Forgive", which is still a favorite among fans and critics alike. Howard is the bassist/vocalist in Steven Tyler’s country band Loving Mary. They have completed a North American tour as well as a European tour. Howard signed with country star Lee Brice’s record label Pumphouse Records where she recently released a brand new album “I’m Not Who You Think I Am”.

Chuck Cannon:
Chuck is a South Carolina Low-Country native whose voice echoes the R&B, Rock & Roll, Gospel and Country music he grew up listening to. With 35 million-plus terrestrial radio airplays and over one billion streams, Chuck is a multi-award-winning songwriter whose songs have been covered in multiple genres by a diverse array of artists such as BoyZone, Bebe Winans, Dolly Parton, Dwight Yoakan, George Jones, George Strait, Lari White, Lonestar, NightRanger, Paul Carrack, Rodney Crowell, Randy Travis, Russ Taff, Shawn Mullins, Tanya Tucker, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Wynonna Judd and many more. His critically acclaimed solo music projects remind us Chuck is, first and last, a Songwriter; no one interprets a song like the writer of the song. His unique guitar style and engaging stories make for riveting live performances that will leave you wanting more . . .
