The Healing Machine – Jacob Bancks
American composer Jacob Bancks is known for music that is both imaginative and emotionally engaging. The Healing Machine explores themes of resilience and renewal through energetic rhythms, colorful textures, and reflective moments. The work traces a journey of restoration, balancing tension and hope in a celebration of healing and growth.
The Rite of Spring – Igor Stravinsky
Premiered in Paris in 1913, The Rite of Spring transformed the course of modern music. Depicting ancient pagan rituals culminating in a sacrificial dance to welcome spring, the work stunned audiences with its driving rhythms, bold harmonies, and raw energy. Today, it stands as one of the most influential and enduring masterpieces of the orchestral repertoire.
