Slip Foundations: 6-Week Wheel & HandbuildingDive into the full ceramic process from start to finish. Over six weeks, you’ll split time between the pottery wheel and the handbuilding table, learning essential techniques to shape, sculpt, and glaze your own functional stoneware pieces.What You'll Learn:Wheel Throwing: Master wedging, centering, pulling walls, shaping cylinders and bowls, and trimming clean foot rings.Handbuilding: Construct custom forms using foundational pinch, coil, and slab techniques.Finishing & Glazing: Apply studio dipping glazes during the final class to make your pieces durable, food-safe, and dishwasher-safe.What’s Included:Slip Hours Access: 2 hours of open studio time per week with an instructor present to practice and refine your skills outside of scheduled class time.Materials & Firings: All clay, studio glazes, and bisque/glaze kiln firings included at no extra cost.Studio Equipment: Full use of wheels, slab rollers, banding wheels, and community toolsets.Course Details & PoliciesExperience Level: Beginner-friendly — perfect for first-time potters.Class Size Policy: Courses require a minimum of 3 registered students to run.
