About
Born April 10, 1958, Bronfman emigrated to Israel in 1973 and later studied at the Rubin Academy (Tel Aviv), The Juilliard School, Marlboro and the Curtis Institute with teachers including Arie Vardi, Rudolf Firkusny, Leon Fleisher and Rudolf Serkin. A frequent soloist with the world’s leading orchestras, he received the Avery Fisher Prize in 1991 and won a Grammy Award in 1997 for the Bartók piano concerti; he has also held teaching posts at the Curtis Institute and the Manhattan School of Music.
