About
The Volcano Brothers play swinging and wild Pre-WW2 era Hawaiian music, from the golden era pre-electric instruments, when the music sounded more like the hot jazz of the day than the modern-day Hawaiian style you hear now. Led by Steve Dawson on steel guitar, the Volcano Brothers features some of the most legendary players in Nashville including Richard Bennett (Mark Knopfler, Neil Diamond) and Fats Kaplin (Jack White, John Prine) on ukuleles and Dave Jacques (John Prine) on bass. The lineup also sometimes features the great Jim Hoke on clarinet.
