Formed from a single-microphone session in a Colorado barn, The Fretliners quickly established themselves on the Front Range festival circuit. In 2023 they won both the Telluride Bluegrass and RockyGrass band competitions and released a self-titled debut album that fall. Early lineups featured Tom Knowlton (guitar), Taylor Shuck (upright bass), Dan Andree (fiddle) and Sam Parks (mandolin).
