Formed in New York City in 1982 by Fred Frith and Tom Cora, Skeleton Crew were an experimental duo (later trio) known for multi-instrumental, improvisatory live performances. They released the studio albums Learn to Talk (1984) and The Country of Blinds (1986) and toured Europe, North America and Japan before splitting in 1986; Zeena Parkins joined the lineup for the later period.
