Raised on a multi-generation cattle and turkey farm, SJ McDonald began writing and performing as a child and spent years honing her craft on Nashville’s Lower Broadway. She signed a publishing deal with Major Bob Music, won first place in American Songwriter’s Traditional Country category, and was featured in Billboard’s “Must Hear New Country Songs.” Her debut EP, Sweet At First, was released in December 2025 and she regularly tours and performs across the U.S.
