Pain Clinic was formed in mid 2006 by Jeff Gresham (Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals) and James Treick (Drums). From Pain Clinic’s inception the band wanted to go back to the roots of Heavy Metal, and blend the classic Bay Area Thrash Metal sound of the 1980’s with the powerful sound of the present. Citing bands such as Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera, Exodus and Testament as their main influence, and combining those classic influences with present influences such as Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Fear Factory, and Sanctity. Pain Clinic stormed onto the Reno Nevada scene in 2007, an immediately made a name for themselves, by bringing an energetic stage show, and their version of Thrash Metal to the scene. Having garnered attention from various media outlets such as Examiner.com, The Modesto View, Blabbermouth and more. Pain Clinic have been featured on such radio stations as Kdot in Reno, Threat Con Radio, Sick daddy Radio, Vyper radio, and V103. Pain Clinic has release three self funded full length albums “Meet Your Enemy” in 2007, “Fate Worse Than Death” in 2010, and “World In Chaos” in 2012. The three albums combined have sold over 5,000 copies. Pain Clinic have shared the stage with many notable bands such as Diamond Head, Raven, Volture, Havoc, Prong, Deicide, Divine Heresy, Paul Dianno, Jungle Rot, Blind Illusion, Heathen, Hatchet, Skitzo, Warbringer, Bonded By Blood,and Witchaven. In 2012 Pain Clinic recruited Former Exodus Guitarist Rick Hunolt to appear on stage with the band at Modesto’s Thrashocalypse event, and once again in May 2013 in Reno Nevada. Pain Clinic continues to play high energy shows, at any venue any place or time, The band’s intense energy and love for the music they play make them a must see live band as they are in high demand in their area and the surrounding areas. Pain Clinic are believers in hard work, the band handles their own merchandise, booking, stage show, website, and still take the time to acknowledge their fans.
