Lance Cowan is a longtime music publicist who transitioned to releasing his own recordings late in life, issuing his debut solo album So Far, So Good in 2024 and the follow-up Against the Grain in 2025. His records feature well-known Nashville players and collaborators (including Sam Bush, Dan Dugmore, Janis Ian and Jimmie Dale Gilmore). His debut was named a Top Ten Roots Album by The Absolute Sound and his follow-up earned placement on SPIN Magazine’s Editors’ Favorite list.
