About
Jay Bragg is a third-generation entertainment impresario and creator of Jay Bragg's New Vaudeville — sophisticated seasonal variety entertainment for the algorithm age. His grandparents performed on the vaudeville circuit. His father spent four decades perfecting seasonal themed shows. Bragg has spent 25 years distilling that century of family wisdom into something entirely his own.
Based in Nashville since 2015, Bragg built his reputation the hard way — as house band at Alan Jackson's AJ's Good Time Bar, opening arena shows for Jackson and Chris Stapleton, and logging 3,500+ live performances across 13 studio albums. Then he did what almost nobody does: he walked away from the conventional path to build something Nashville said couldn't work.
New Vaudeville is the result — a four-seasons franchise of character-driven theatrical productions, each serving a distinct cultural moment: Irish immigrant solidarity in March, civic patriotism in July, New Orleans mysticism in October, and the holiday joy of King Kazoo every December. Full band in period costume, set design, original songs, and a civic thesis underneath every show.
His debut Irish In New Vaudeville EP is out now.
He also runs Nashville's only authentic Acoustic Singing Telegram service, and volunteers as a hospice musician — because for Bragg, entertainment has always been medicine first.
