Formed in Tennessee in 2023 as BERTHA: Grateful Drag, the group is an all-drag Grateful Dead tribute collective that blends tight musicianship with drag performance. They quickly gained attention on the festival circuit (including Newport Folk Festival) and released a live album, Slayin’ in the Band Vol. 1, while regularly supporting LGBTQ+ organizations through benefit shows.
