About
Formed in 1998 by saxophonist Iain Ballamy and drummer/electronics artist Thomas Strønen, Food began after meetings in Trondheim and performances at Moldejazz that led to their debut recording. They have released several albums on Rune Grammofon and ECM, including Quiet Inlet (2010) and This Is Not a Miracle (2015). The project has received a BBC Radio 3 commission and was presented with an Innovation Award by the British Jazz Awards.
