Christopher Williams (born August 22, 1967) emerged in the late 1980s with a string of hit singles, notably "I'm Dreamin'," which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart in 1991. He appeared as Kareem Akbar in the film New Jack City, has contributed to multiple soundtracks and stage productions, and is a nephew of jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald.
